Get paid: connect Stripe

Connecting your Stripe account, payouts, and what customers pay.

Bright Panda uses Stripe to take card payments. Each school has its own Stripe account, so tuition is paid out to your own bank account. Bright Panda does not hold your money.

Connect your account

  1. 1Open Settings, then Banking & Stripe
  2. 2Choose Connect Stripe AccountYou are taken to Stripe's own secure pages. If you do not have a Stripe account, Stripe creates one as you go.
  3. 3Fill in Stripe's formYour business type, the owner's details and the bank account where payouts should go. Stripe may ask for an ID check; that is normal.
  4. 4Return to Bright PandaWhen you are sent back the page shows that Stripe is connected. If Stripe still needs information it tells you here.
  5. 5Choose your payout scheduleFor example Daily or Weekly.

Until Stripe is connected, customers cannot pay online. You can still record payments you take yourself (cash, Zelle and so on) when you enroll a student.

Fees

Stripe charges its standard card fee (about 2.9% plus 30 cents in the United States) on each payment. That is between you and Stripe and comes out of each payout.

Your Bright Panda subscription is separate

What you pay Bright Panda each month is not connected to your customers' payments. Manage that under Settings, Subscription, and update the card on file with Manage Billing on the Banking & Stripe tab.
