Makeup classes
Credits, requests and booking a student into another class.
A makeup credit lets a student attend one other class in place of one they missed. Everything is under Makeups.
Where credits come from
- Automatically, when a student is marked Absent (or the family reports the absence in advance and the rules allow it).
- By hand: Issue Credit lets you give a credit to any student for a semester, up to your Global Makeup Policy.
Book a makeup from the credit
- 1Open Makeups and find the credit
- 2Choose Schedule Makeup Now
- 3Pick the semester, then a sessionYou see each class's date, time and how many seats are filled. Cancelled classes are not offered.
- 4SaveThe family is emailed and, if they opted in, texted: class, date, start time with your time zone, and location.
When a family asks for a makeup
A family can request a makeup from their portal at least 24 hours before the class they will miss. The request appears under Makeups. Approve it to book the student in (and confirm to the family), or reject it with a note and the credit stays available.
