Class day: rosters and attendance
Taking attendance and what happens when a student is absent.
The Daily Roster lists the classes happening on a day and who is enrolled in each.

- 3Mark each student Present, Absent or ExcusedEach mark saves the moment you choose it. There is no Save button to press.
Reminders families receive
Families are reminded on the day of the class, on your school's own clock: at 6 AM for classes starting before 3 PM, and at 2 PM for classes starting at 3 PM or later. The email shows the location and its address; the text shows the location name. Cancelled sessions are never reminded.
When a student is absent
Marking a student Absent can earn them a makeup credit (up to your Global Makeup Policy for the semester). The family is emailed that a makeup credit was added. See the next chapter.
Cancelled classes
A cancelled session is greyed out on the calendar. Families cannot request attendance changes or book a makeup into it.
